"Wish I'd Downloaded Offline Maps Sooner"
I had no signal at all, but the offline maps still helped me get around without much trouble. i kind of regret not using this feature earlier
"I thought canceling would be a..."
I thought canceling would be a whole thing, but it was quick. I’m still a little fuzzy on whether I canceled the same day I checked the billing page or the day after, but either way, the charges were clear and I didn’t have to jump through any hoops.
"Syncing worked without me doing much"
I saved a few spots on my desktop and they just showed up on my phone later. Not sure what all was happening in the background, but it worked like I expected.

"Works well across my devices"
I’ve been using onX on my iPhone, iPad, and even an older Android tablet I’ve got lying around. So far, it all seems to sync up without much fuss, and I only have to mess with the settings every once in a while, if at all. Overall, I’d say I’m happy with it.

"Made my trail ride easier"
I used this on a weekend trail ride, and it kinda made planning the whole route so much easier. The offline maps were really helpful when my service dropped, and I could actually see where I needed to turn without having to guess. Happy with it so far...

"Surprisingly Easy on My Battery"
I used onX for a full-day hike and expected it to chew through my battery like some other apps seem to do. It didn’t, which was a nice surprise. I downloaded the maps before heading out, so I barely used any data, and it still worked well even when service got spotty. Kind of makes you wonder why every outdoor app can’t manage that.
"It was simple to figure out. I only…"
It was simple to figure out. I only had a small question at one point, and support basically said something like, “Just follow the steps in order and you should be good,” which was true. After a few minutes of clicking around, everything made sense.

"I spent a good chunk of…"
I spent a good chunk of the day bouncing between backroads and little trails, and this had everything I needed. Every time I thought, “There’s no way this route is on here,” it was. Made exploring way less stressful and a lot more fun.

"App’s fine, support was slow"
The app itself is okay, and maybe I’m just being impatient because I needed it sorted quickly, but support took a few days to get back to me. When they finally replied, it didn’t really fix the issue I was having. Could be partly my fault for not explaining it perfectly, but it was still frustrating

I’ve been using this for a while now, it hasn’t gotten me lost yet. Cool to have something I can just rely on without thinking too much about it

"The updates are always quick, which…"
The updates are always quick, which I definitely appreciate. I’m still a little wary when it comes to customer service in general, so I don’t fully relax until I see things actually moving, but so far the turnaround has been solid

"Good aerial views most of the time"
I mostly use the aerial imagery for hunting and scouting, and for the most part it’s clear and really helpful. Every now and then I’ll run into a spot that looks a little outdated or fuzzy, which is a bit frustrating, especially when it’s the exact area I’m trying to check out, of course. Overall though, it does the job well. I’d give it 5 stars if the updates were a little more consistent
"Useful maps, but I couldn’t fully trust the GPS"
I really wanted to like onX because the maps themselves are handy, but my gut kept telling me not to rely on it too much. A few times, the GPS showed me on the wrong side of a property line, and that’s just not something I’m comfortable guessing on. It also seemed to lag when I lost service, even with offline maps saved. Maybe it works better in other places, but for me it was too hit or miss to really trust in the field.
"Pretty solid deal for maps"
This was a good deal for maps. Nothing fancy, but it does the job and doesn’t feel like some overpriced nonsense. Happy with it...

"I mostly use onX to drop…"
I mostly use onX to drop waypoints and keep track of where I’ve already been, and it’s been super helpful. When I’m scouting or hiking somewhere new, I like being able to mark a spot and not worry about finding it again later. Compared to what I see a lot of people doing with random screenshots or just trying to remember landmarks, this is way more organized. The track lines are easy to follow back, too. It took me a little time to figure everything out, but now I pretty much use it every trip.

"Surprisingly steady most of the time"
I’ve been using onX Maps for a while now, it’s more stable than I expected for an app that’s usually getting opened in the middle of nowhere with barely any service. It loads fast and doesn’t crash much, which is apparently a bigger accomplishment than it should be these days.
I have had it freeze a couple times when switching layers, but closing it and reopening took care of it. It’s definitely not flawless, but it’s dependable enough that I keep coming back to it, so I’ll give it that.

"Made the whole thing less stressful"
I was feeling kind of trapped trying to figure everything out on my own, but the lines matched my survey pins really well and made the whole process way easier

"Pretty useful for trip planning"
I mostly use onX to check public land boundaries before I head out, and for the most part it’s been really helpful. The maps are easy enough to read, and it gives me a good idea of what I’m looking at before I get there. I have noticed a couple areas that didn’t seem totally up to date, so if it really matters, I still double check. Overall though, it’s a solid app and I’d say it’s worth having for planning trips

"The 3D terrain view actually changed how I plan hikes"
I didn’t realize how much I was guessing before, but the 3D terrain detail made planning hikes feel way more intentional. Being able to see the shape of the land helped me understand what the route would actually feel like, not just how far it was. It made the whole experience easier and gave me a better sense of what I was heading into

"Wrong owner listed on my parcel"
I looked up my parcel and it showed the wrong owner, which was frustrating. I just needed the correct info and didn’t expect to waste time dealing with something that should’ve been accurate in the first place
